The Pogue Family:
Missionary descendants of John Fawcett Pogue and Maria Kupule
Whitney Pogue (buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in San Jose, Ca.); Both arrived in Hawaii with the eleventh company in 1844 and married in 1848. Maria was the first missionary daughter born in Hawaii to the Reverend Samuel and Mrs. Whitney.
